Cognizant Classic in the Palm Beaches
The Classic provides VOLUNTEER opportunities to RAISE FUNDS for PABC and your sport!
Join us FEBRUARY 28th - March 3rd for a fun way to raise money, meet new people, and watch the pros!
The Cognizant Classic in the Palm Beaches Golf Tournament, held in PGA National, is a five day event that provides Dwyer High School parents and students the opportunity to volunteer their time in exchange for a donation to PABC and/or volunteer hours for students.

Schedule:
The schedule is made with a lot of thought on efficiency so each group can make a decent dollar amount to make it worthwhile. The hours of operation in each concession will vary. You may be placed at any of our concession tents and may be requested to stay a little longer or leave early based on weather, crowds, etc.

Money for your sport and PABC:
All money goes to PABC (80% to your sport and 20% to the PABC General account) In past years, our hourly wage has been between $30-$42 but there are many factors that influence the amount of money we receive. A specific amount can't be promised but everyone who works gets the same per hour dollar amount for their sport. We’ll receive a percentage of sales and 100% of the tips. This is all added together and divided by the total number of hours worked.
Volunteer Hours:
STUDENTS MUST BE 16 OR OLDER. STUDENTS WILL ONLY RECEIVE VOLUNTEER HOURS, NOT MONEY PER HOUR TOWARD A SPORT.
Job Responsibilities:
During your shift, you may be asked to do various jobs such as cashiering, preparing food, climbing steps with trays, etc. We are kept very busy and there are no chairs.
Parking:
The volunteer parking lot is located at Mirasol. Please allow at least 45 minutes to an hour from parking time to arrival at concessions. Many volunteers choose to get dropped off by family/friend or take an Uber.
Clothing:
Feel free to wear a t-shirt with your non-profit on it. Anyone from Dwyer can wear any type of Dwyer shirt (PABC, Finance, Athletics, etc.) The concession company requests the following:
· Khaki or Black Shorts or Slacks
· Clean White OR Blue Polo Shirt OR a t-shirt or polo shirt representing your charity
· Comfortable shoes (MUST BE CLOSED TOE SHOES)
· Hats must be worn at all times (baseball hats or visors).
· The shirt must be tucked in, and no stretch, jeans or gym pants are allowed.
